A backwards party? This party idea is original and really lets your imagination run wild. All the fun starts with the invitations – write all of your party details backwards on the inside of the card and on the front of the invitation, write “Use a Mirror to Read our Message”. You can also suggest that all guests wear their clothes inside out.
Hang an “exit” sign in front of your door, place paper streamers on the floor, put the tablecloth on the floor under the table instead of covering it. Place your party chairs facing away from the table.
- Backward Relay Races – Divide the guests in two teams and have running, crab walking or crawling relay races but make sure they do it backwards. The team to finish last is the winner (but don’t tell them that before the race).
- Backward Water Balloon Toss – Divide the guests into partners and have one child throw a water balloon behind her/his back to his partner. Every time he/she catches it, they must each take one step away froom eachother. The last balloon standing wins.
Blind Mans Bluff
Choose a suitable blindfold for the birthday boy/girl to wear. Once he/she has it on, allow the children to line up against the castle walls without the birthday boy/girl knowing. Then count up to ten, and let the blind man loose in the castle. The first person to be touched is it.
